Tello Drone Review

Hi everyone,

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged last. You might remember that my last post was about Atlantis. I’m not going to finish the rest of those posts. However, if you’d like to hear more about my vacation you can click here.

A few weeks ago I bought a DJI / RYZE Tello drone for $99. Along with the drone, I purchased the GameSir T1d controller. The Tello drone comes with 8 propellers, 4 propeller guards, one battery and the propeller removal tool. If you want extra accessories, you can buy them here. If you get the GameSir T1d controller, make sure you have an iphone 7 or up.

Some features on the drone include 8D flips, bounce mode and throw and go. You can also program the drone with Scratch. The drone also has a camera so you can take photos and videos. The Tello also has a 13 minute flight time.

Here are some photos I’ve taken with the Tello:

Atlantis Day 2

Hi everyone,

Today is our first full day in Atlantis. You might remember that we are staying in the Coral Towers.

Here is a view from our room:

DCIM115GOPRO

If all my photos look slanted like the wall in the this picture. It’s because I forgot a card for my camera and had to use my Go-Pro.
After we settled in, we went straight to the water park, Aquaventure. The park has a ton of water slides. There are two buildings that launch the water slides. One of them is the Power Tower, and the other is the Mayan temple. The temple holds the Leap of Faith, the Challenger and the Serpent. The Power Tower holds the Drop, the Falls, the Surge and the Abyss.

First, we went to the Power Tower to do the Abyss. The Abyss is a body slide that has a 70 foot drop. When my sister went on the ride, she screamed insanely loud, so I chickened out. Then I met up with everyone, we all went on the Surge. The Surge is a raft slide that connects into the rapids. Afterwards, we went on the Leap of Faith, which is a body slide that has a 60 foot drop. The slide goes under the shark tank, but you go so fast that you can’t see them.

When we got back to the room, my mom told us that we were upgraded to the Reef. After we unpacked (again), we went to sleep.

Also, I’m sorry that this post came out so late. We were busy this week.

Atlantis Day 1

Hi everyone,

Right now I’m flying to the Bahamas! On my sister’s birthday her present was a trip to Atlantis. Atlantis is a huge resort in the Bahamas. In Atlantis there are five main towers, the Coral, the Beach, the Royal, the Reef and the Cove.

The Coral Towers are near the Casino (there’s a lot of smoke). The Beach is a bit out of the way, but it has a ton of activities. The Beach has a movie theater, a family game night and more. The Royal Tower is the biggest tower. The Casino connects the Coral and Royal, so there is smoke in the Royal, too. The Reef is a semi-fancy hotel and the Cove is pretty much the first-class tower. The Cove’s lobby has several of hammocks and swings. We are staying in the Coral Tower.

This morning we woke up around 4:00 A.M. to catch our flight from LAX to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. It is a six hour flight, so we brought plenty to do. About 5 hours and 30 minutes into the flight, the pilot started circling around Florida. Then the loudspeaker came on and said there were thunderstorms. He said that we would be circling around Florida until they cleared up.

We finally landed in Ft. Lauderdale, but our flight was delayed an hour. Then two and then three. At the end of all of that, our flight got delayed five hours! Eventually, we landed in the Bahamas. Then we had to catch a ride to Atlantis. By the time we got to the Coral Towers, it was almost midnight.

By the way, if in any of these posts (there will be six) you are wondering “ how does he know that? It hasn’t happened yet!” I am writing all of this now that I’m back from Atlantis.

Nintendo Labo

Hi everyone,

I just got a Nintendo Labo and I thought I’d blog about it! The Labo costs $69.99 but you have to buy a Nintendo Switch first. The Labo comes with the game, the cardboard and five main projects. It also has a mode where you can program other things.

The RC Car

The RC Car is the easiest of the projects. It takes about 10 minutes to make. The console is the remote. When you use the control it makes the joy-cons vibrate. The vibrations travel through the legs and makes it move.

 The House

The House is a game where you play with your animal. (It’s kind of looks like a cat). The house also has three openings where you can put a nob, a crank and a button. When you put different combinations, you can play different games. If you win the game you can get a candy that puts a different pattern on your “cat”.

The Motorbike

The Motorbike is a racing game. You can choose from three tournaments and three speeds. You can also build your own track and play it. There is also a stadium mode. It is a competition where you try to pop the most balloons. You can change the stadium by scanning in objects.

The Fishing Rod

The Fishing Rod is the hardest project to make. Once you make the rod you can fish! Fishing doesn’t sound fun, but it’s actually tons of fun. The bottom of the ocean is really dark, so you can’t see the fish, only the outline. You can also scan your own fish into the game! This sounds kind of weird, but you use the piano to scan the fish. You can use the keys to change the colors.

The Piano

The Piano takes the most time to complete. It only has one octave, but you can change it by pulling the lever on the side, and change how the piano sounds by putting different knobs in the slot. You can also record your own songs.

Garage Mode

Garage mode is where you program your own creations! The game gives you things that are already made. You only have 10 empty projects to make, but you can delete them if you want to.
