Casa Romantica

Hi everyone,

Today I went to Casa Romantica with our nature group. The field trip was about tile making and games in the 1800’s. For the “tile making” we just drew a pattern on a piece of paper. For the games in the 1900’s they had a tour guide come and tell us how to play them. They had marbles, badminton and darts. Casa Romantica is really fun and a great place for pictures.

Ukulele Song

Hi everyone,
I know I said I probably wasn’t going  to post about the ukulele but I didn’t have any other ideas I decided to anyway. Like the post about my goals said, I wanted to learn two new ukulele songs. I did. I learned Mele Kalikimaka by Bing Crosby and Space Oddity by David Bowie. Since I haven’t perfected them I won’t post a recording, but I will post a recording of myself playing House of Gold by Twenty One Pilots.

Here it is:

Do you play the ukulele? What is you favorite song?

Corona Del Mar+Junior Guards Tryouts

Hi everyone,

I’m sorry I forgot to post on Thursday. This post will be about two things as sort of a make-up.

We went to Corona Del Mar with our nature group and stayed for about two hours.

Here are some of the pics I got:

I am also trying out for Junior Guards!

The requirements are:

  1. Swim 100 yards in 2:15.
  2. Swim underwater for 10 feet.
  3. Tread water for five minutes.

The first time I tried I swam 100 yards in 2:17 which is two seconds off! After the 100 yards I moved on to the underwater portion. I swam underwater for about 15 feet and made it! I also passed the treading segment.

After I caught my breath I tried the 100 yards again. I made it right on the dot! I can’t wait for Junior Guards!

Palm Springs

Hi everyone,

My family and I just went to Palm Springs! It’s about 105°F. We did a lot of fun things on this vacation.

Day 1

We left for Palm Springs at 8:30. It was a 2 hour drive. On the way there we stopped and had an hour long shopping spree at Volcom.  I got new flip-flops and a new bathing suit. Then we went back on the road and arrived to Palm Springs at noon. Then we unpacked and went to the pool. At the pool there is a lap pool, water slide and a lazy river. We mainly went on the lazy river. We stayed at the pool for about four hours. After the pool we ate dinner and watched shark tank until it was time to go to bed.

Day 2

On our second day our dad went to play golf with his brother. While he played, our mom took us to the Living Desert Zoo. We went with Syd and Ty. I took a lot of great pictures. If you want to see them I will upload them tomorrow on my portfolio. Right after we met up with Syd and Ty, we went to feed the giraffes. Their tongues are so long! After we fed the giraffes, we saw all the animals! There were foxes, hyenas, zebras, gazelle and turkeys! After we left the zoo, we went back to our hotel and swam. By then our dad had come back. While we were at the pool, I practiced for Juinior Guards. After the pool, we went out to dinner at Cuistot where I had a steak and fries. After dinner we went to bed.

Day 3

On our third day, my dad and I woke up at 7:00 to play golf at the Ranco Las Palmas Country Club. We played 18 holes. Most clubs have 18 holes, but this one had 27. On two holes I aimed low and skipped my ball across the lake and onto the green! After we finished playing, we went home.

Goals For May

Hi everyone,

Today I am going to post about my goals for May. I haven’t done this before, so I don’t have any goals to answer. I will do a post like this every month.

Blogging Goals

  • Reach 40 followers. For this goal I have to get 40 in total. Not 40 WordPress followers. If I have 30 WordPress followers and 10 E-Mail followers, it still counts.
  • Stick to my blogging schedule. I posted about my blogging schedule in April and have stuck to it ever since. It’s going to be hard to keep sticking to it.

Life Goals

  • Get Better at Golf I take golf lessons every Friday and improve with every one. What I mean by get better is getting 1st, 2nd or 3rd in a tournament.
  • Learn 2 more ukulele songs. I probably won’t post about it, but I still want to get better at the ukulele.

That’s it for my goals. I hope you enjoyed this post!
